Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

This page explains cookies and related browser mechanisms relevant to WaterBillCalc. Calculator processing and website delivery are different activities, so browser-only calculations do not mean the entire site is cookie-free.

What cookies do

A cookie is a small value stored by a browser for a website. It can help maintain a login session, remember a setting, or support security functions. Cookies vary in purpose, duration, and whether they come from the website or another service.

Browser storage can also include local storage, session storage, and cached files. Those mechanisms are different from cookies, even though they may also keep information on a device.

The calculator code

The current calculators do not create cookies or save input values in local storage or session storage. Inputs are used within the open page to calculate results. You do not need a login to use them.

This statement applies to the calculator implementation. It is not a guarantee about every hosting response, browser extension, administrator feature, or third-party service a visitor might use.

WordPress and administration

WordPress can set cookies when an authorized person signs in or uses authenticated administration functions. These help check cookie support and maintain login state. Ordinary visitors do not need an administrator session to calculate a bill.

Blocking essential login cookies may prevent administrators from using the dashboard correctly. The exact cookies depend on which functions are used and on the installed software version.

Hosting, security, and caching

Hosting and security infrastructure may use technical cookies or similar mechanisms to deliver content, identify an authenticated session, or prevent abuse. Cached pages and scripts can also be stored by browsers for faster loading.

A complete cookie inventory requires observation of actual responses and service configuration. This page does not present an unverified list of cookie names, lifetimes, or providers. Hosting controls can change independently of calculator code.

Optional services

If optional analytics, advertising, embedded media, or preference services are added, they may involve additional cookies or browser storage. Their purposes, providers, and available choices should be described before they are used.

The presence of this policy is not itself a consent mechanism. Where consent is required, visiting the website or reading a policy is not treated as an automatic agreement to optional tracking.

Your browser controls

Most browsers let you inspect, block, or delete cookies and clear website data. Look in the privacy or site-settings section of your browser. You can often manage one website without deleting all browsing data.

Deleting cookies may sign you out or remove saved preferences. Blocking them can affect some website functions. Browser controls do not remove server logs or emails already sent to us.

External links and updates

When you follow a link to a utility or other website, its cookie practices apply there. Our policy does not control the destination’s browser storage or tracking choices.

We will revise this page when site features or known cookie practices change. For questions about a cookie you observe, email contact@waterbillcalc.com with its name, the page URL, and the browser you used. Do not include session values or authentication tokens.
