This page explains how to raise a data-protection request with WaterBillCalc and summarizes rights that may apply under the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Applicability depends on the circumstances, not simply on whether this page exists.
Scope and privacy contact
WaterBillCalc focuses on US water bill information. People in other locations can also visit the public website. The GDPR’s application depends on its legal scope and the processing involved; this page is not a claim of certification or a determination that every provision applies in every case.

Information connected with the website
Current calculators process numbers in the browser without submitting or storing them through the calculator code. There is no central calculator-submission database to search for a past estimate.
Email correspondence can contain personal information supplied by the sender. Normal page delivery can also involve IP addresses and other technical request information handled by hosting or security services.
Purposes and legal bases where GDPR applies
The relevant purposes include answering messages, handling corrections and rights requests, operating the website, and maintaining security. Where the GDPR applies, each activity needs an appropriate legal basis rather than a blanket statement of consent.
Depending on the activity and circumstances, a basis may include legitimate interests in necessary website operation or correspondence, compliance with a legal obligation, or consent for an optional activity. Consent, when relied on, must be capable of withdrawal. A request can ask which basis applies to the particular information involved.
Rights that may apply
Subject to the legal conditions, GDPR rights include information and access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent where processing relies on it. You may also complain to a relevant data-protection supervisory authority.
Rights have limits. For example, deletion may not remove records required by law, and portability depends on the type and legal basis of processing. Our calculators do not make account decisions or significant automated decisions about individuals.
How to make a request
Email the contact address with “Data rights request” in the subject. Describe what you previously shared, roughly when it was shared, and the action you want. Using the email address involved in earlier correspondence can help us locate the relevant record.
Do not send identity documents or credentials unsolicited. If reasonable identity verification is needed, we will explain what limited information is necessary. We should not disclose another person’s information merely because a request mentions their email.
Handling requests
Where GDPR applies, requests are handled under its response rules, normally within one month. A permitted extension or refusal needs an explanation under the applicable conditions. We may ask for clarification when the scope is unclear.
The outcome may include confirmation, a copy of information, a correction, deletion, restriction, or an explanation of a lawful exception. Information held only in your browser cannot be recovered remotely by us.
Providers, transfers, and retention
Hosting and email providers may process information outside your country. Where GDPR applies to a transfer, the applicable transfer requirements must be considered. This page does not claim that every provider has a particular certification or contractual mechanism.
Retention depends on the purpose, service settings, and applicable obligations. You can ask about the specific records involved in a request. A single fixed period has not been published for all technical and correspondence records.
