This policy applies to WaterBillCalc.com. It does not describe a utility’s account portal, an email provider’s entire service, or another website reached through an external link.
Calculator inputs
The calculators we have published run calculations in your browser. Their code does not submit the values you enter to our server or store them in cookies or browser storage. You do not need to create an account or provide identifying details to use them.
This describes the calculator code, not all network activity on the site. Loading a page still sends requests to hosting infrastructure. If you email us a result or screenshot, the information in that message becomes part of correspondence.
Information you send by email
Email contact can include your address, name if supplied, message, attachments, and communication metadata. We use it to answer requests, investigate reports, handle privacy or copyright concerns, and maintain related records.
Send only what is necessary. Redact utility account numbers, street addresses, payment details, barcodes, and identifying information from attachments. We may request limited additional information if needed to understand an issue or verify a privacy request.
Technical requests and service providers
Our hosting provider is Hostinger. Website delivery, error reporting, backups, and security services may process information such as IP address, requested URL, browser details, and request time. Logging and retention depend on the service and its configuration.
Email, hosting, and administration providers may process information needed to operate the site and handle requests. Information may also need to be disclosed to comply with a valid legal obligation, investigate abuse, or protect the site and the rights of others.
Cookies and tracking
The calculator code does not set cookies. WordPress can use cookies for login, authenticated sessions, and related administration functions. Hosting or security services may use technical mechanisms independently of the calculator.
This policy does not claim that all visitors are anonymous or that no cookie can ever be set. See the Cookie Policy for the current approach and browser controls. If optional analytics, advertising, or other data collection is introduced, this policy needs to be updated to describe it.
Retention and international processing
There is no stored calculator submission record for us to delete from the current tools. Email and technical records are retained according to their purpose, the relevant service’s configuration, and any applicable security or legal requirements.
We aim to keep information only as long as needed for those purposes. Exact hosting-log and email retention periods are not specified here because they have not been established as a uniform site-wide period. Service providers may process information in countries different from your own.
Your choices and requests
You can use calculators without emailing us and can manage cookies through your browser. You can ask about information you sent, request correction or deletion, or raise a concern through the contact email.
We may need proportionate identity verification and may be unable to remove records needed for legal, security, or operational reasons. Where data-protection law applies, its rights and time limits take priority. Our GDPR and Data Rights page explains requests in that context.
Security, children, and policy updates
We use HTTPS and administrative access controls, but no online system or email channel is guaranteed to be secure. Do not send secrets or sensitive documents through ordinary correspondence.
The site is intended for general household information, not to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review it. Material changes to website information handling will be reflected in this policy and its revision date.
