WaterBillCalc respects copyright and reviews reports about material published on the website. Use contact@waterbillcalc.com for copyright concerns, permission requests, and related questions.
What this policy covers
The policy applies to text, code, images, and other material appearing on WaterBillCalc.com. Copyright ownership is different from ownership of facts, mathematical ideas, utility names, or publicly stated rates.
Third-party sources retain their rights. Linking to an official document does not give the website unrestricted permission to reproduce it. If you believe material on the site exceeds a permitted use, identify the specific material in your report.
Reporting a concern
Use “Copyright report” in the email subject. Identify the work you own or represent and provide a link or description that helps establish the original work. Include the exact WaterBillCalc URL and identify the part you believe is infringing.
Tell us your name, contact details, and whether you are the owner or an authorized representative. Explain the claimed problem and the action you are requesting. Do not send unrelated private documents or a large collection of files without context.
Information for a formal DMCA notice
A formal notice under US copyright law generally includes identification of the work and disputed material, contact information, a physical or electronic signature, and required statements about good-faith belief and accuracy or authority under penalty of perjury.
Use the US Copyright Office’s DMCA resources for the applicable requirements and designated-agent directory. This website email is our general copyright contact; this page does not assert that a designated agent has been registered or that a statutory safe harbor has been established.
How reports are reviewed
We review the material identified and the information provided. We may ask for clarification, compare the source and disputed use, restrict access while reviewing, remove material, or explain why we believe a use is permitted.
We do not promise a predetermined outcome or fixed response time for every report. A vague allegation that does not identify the work or location may be insufficient to investigate. We aim to address substantiated concerns as reasonably practical.
Disagreements and counter-notifications
If material is removed and you believe that was a mistake, contact us with the URL, the basis for your claim, and evidence of ownership, permission, or another lawful basis for use.
A statutory DMCA counter-notification has legal requirements and consequences, including declarations and jurisdiction-related information. Do not assume an ordinary disagreement email meets those requirements. Seek appropriate advice before sending a formal notice or counter-notice.
Accuracy and privacy of reports
Do not submit knowingly false claims or represent yourself as an owner without authority. Copyright disputes can involve legal consequences, and a takedown process should not be used merely to suppress criticism or facts.
Report information may need to be shared with an affected contributor, representative, adviser, or authority to handle the concern. Avoid including information that is not needed. Our Privacy Policy also applies to correspondence.
Permission and repeated issues
If you want to reuse more than a brief lawful quotation, ask before republishing substantial text, a design, or calculator code. Identify the intended material, destination, and use. A link to our website is welcome and does not normally require permission.
Where a contributor or submitted material is involved in repeated substantiated infringement, we may restrict or stop accepting that material. This is a website publishing policy, not a claim that public visitor accounts are offered.
